Hey guys, I’m going with my girlfriend today to look at this

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Manual Jeep Wrangler, her dream car basically. Obviously rust is the main issue to check for, along with all the other used car stuff, but is there any jeep or model specific stuff I should be making sure to keep in mind? Are these generally reliable/easy enough to find parts?

I appreciate any help!bomus photo for your time

Forget the Jeep, get an E34 M5 instead.

+1 for the 6 cylinder. Check for rust, and go for it if it’s not bad. If it is bad, just FYI my friends father spent $4,000 having the frame reinforced/replaced in his wrangler, same vintage. There’s a good shop in collegeville that does it, but it’s not cheap.

Where is this 4-5000$ E34 M5? Cause if so I’d go for that before I even finished this post. I would just give her my e34 530i.

If anyone should be buying an e34 here, it’s you. Stop shopping around for all that new stuff and get yourself a nice E34 daily

I looked at E34 M5s for a while last year, but I decided I don’t have the resources to own one.

Sell the 328 and get a 530 or 540i. Super reliable for an engine as long as you take care of leaks, swap out some suspension rubber and you have an awesome daily. The 535s are fun too

When I bought my 530i it has gone 70 miles in 3 years and hadn’t been a daily since 2005, yet I drove it 600 miles home with no issues or maintenance. After that I did the valve cover, thrust arms, and over the year swapped out a lot of the bushings underneath which are cheap.

Overall I put about 14000 miles before my accident and the only time it ever broke down was when the radiator older than I am cracked. Was also when I was revving to redline like usual, it just takes a beating and runs so smooth that you can’t help yourself. An m5 is just gonna not feel fun to drive cause it’s too special to treat like a regular car at this point

I feel like you could get a better Jeep at half that cost from a private party.

I don’t really want to DD an older car. I like some of the modern features of newer cars, I also don’t have a place to really work on it, which would be my main hold up.

E34s are so quiet and comfy though, what features do you really need?

I work at a dealership and drive new cars all the time, but I prefer my e34 honestly. The manual throw is also so nice and easy, and the armrest is adjustable. It’s the most easy and comfortable manual I’ve ever had

I think you’ll like my 530i once it’s back on the road. AC schnitzer bodykit and wheels are on their way currently

It’s gonna be rebuilt title anyways despite no frame damage or anything besides suspension and wheels so I figured it’s okay to go all in with the mods. It was already a car I planned to keep, but since the resale value is in the tank anyways now I can fulfill my 90s German tuner dreams and not feel bad.

I’m shooting for it all to be done at the end of May. I’m also gonna do coilovers (street style ones) and I have the euro m5 nurburgring pack sway bars en route from Germany lol. It helps to have a good dealer local that’s friendly with me

I’m sorry to hear about the title.

But I can’t wait to see how the car turns out!
